The Army List is divided into three parts as follows: a. Part 1 - contains details of major appointments, headquarters and establishments and regimental and corps lists of officers of the British Active and Territorial Armies. b. Part 2 - contains an alphabetical list of non-effective officers in receipt of retired pay. The full list is published triennially, the intervening years being covered by a supplement. c. Part 3 - contains the biographical list of serving active officers. (Restricted document)
